I have a pair of dark brown leather boots that have salt stains on them. best way to safely remove stain?

I tried dilute vinegar, but it didn’t really seem to work. I really love these boots! The stains are a day old.

    soapy water and a shoe brush. Once stains are gonem polish your boots with a waterproof brown shoe polish. I know it sounds old fashioned but it totally repels salt stains and helps the leather stay better for longer. and who doesn’t want more wear time out of their favorite boots.
