BAR KEEPER’S FRIEND! It comes in a gold container (shaped like a Comet container – shaker type jar) with blue writing. Don’t get the liquid kind – get the powdered cleanser. Work it into a paste and scrub. This is the ONLY product I have seen that really gets rid of rust. That CLR stuff is a joke.

Get an abrasive type cleaner (I used Bab-O) and a container or bucket of water and a cotton cloth. Put a little of the cleaner on the rust spots then rub it with the wet cloth repeatedly until it disappears.

Have you tried "ZAP" It can be bought on tv. I just love it. It works on rust, lime and various other stain tennants leave behind.

If your tub is made from porcelain,it’s likely that the rust stain is there to stay. You can try an abraisive with bleach (soft scrub or comet)Also a product called CLR.If those don’t work, you are out of luck.Sorry.

vinegar uncut. fill the inside of the tub with solids, like ice and fill the rest of the tub with vinegar, let it set a couple hours and scrub with sos or plastic scrub pad. chill the vinegar so it doesn’t melt the ice and dilute the vinegar

I can suggest this for your bath. If the stain is just a light one then rub half a lemon across the stain , but if it´s one of those nasty iron stain then you will need something much more stronger . You can get this from your chemist. ask for a solution of 5% oxalic acid or10% solution of hydrochloric acid. Use gloves and use a cloth to apply the solution. Make sure you rinse the bath well once you have finished this, but it will come off

I use limeaway, if that doesnt work, try a product called foamy q & a. You can find it at plumbing or paper supply stores. It works great.

Try Iron Out. You can find it at most department stores or hardware stores. The fumes are really nasty, so open a window or two. You can mix it with water and use it as a liquid or you can use it as a paste. Wear rubber gloves and do not inhale the fumes.

Is it porcelain? If it is, it could be the iron tub showing through the glaze, and this can’t be removed. The tub would need to either be replaced, or reglazed.

I own a cleaning service, and there are plenty of products that should work. These are my favorites: Bar keepers friend, put it on a scrubbing sponge add a little water(make a paste) and scrub. That’s the best way to use it. Bam is also good,as is Kaboom, but they stink!!!!!! If all else fails go to Home Depot or somewhere like it and buy commercial cleaner, just make sure you ventilate well.
