I have a rust stain in my white carpet from a couch leg with rusty screw.?

I used a carbona stain devil specifically designed for rust removal. My carpet seemed to melt. It has now just a light yellowish stain now that looks similar to urine. I almost wanted the rust stain back….because urine looking stain is worse. Its in a spot that is seen and not covered by a throw rug….should I just give up?

try this in a foaming bottle mix 1 tsp white vinegar, 1/2 tsp. liquid dish soap, 1/2 tsp, ammonia, and fill up with water.pump and use the foam only, this might lighten the yellow stain to the point that it's not noticable anymore.

this might give you an excuse to redecorate your room if there seems to be nothing left to do give it a try.Maybe if doing so you could find a nice rug in which covering the stain

Take come baking soda and make it into a paste with a bit of water, then rub it on the spot, let dry, then vacuum. You could also use oxy-clean.

I am a proffesional housekeeper, and all I can say is peroxide. dab some on with a cloth, and it dhould come right out w/o discoloring your carpet, however, you should test a small area first just to make sure.

I don't know if it will work now that you have a new stain also, but you could try CAPTURE pet stain remover. I buy mine at Lowe's. Good Luck. Also now that it is yellow, you could try white vinegar on it.
