I have a water stain on a slate table top. It is an old stain. Is there anyway I can remove it?

It is a side table, and you can remove the piece of slate.

    Here is a link to a service, which provides products to clean slate. I myself have not used this service but the website offers to give you advice before the sell anything to you.

    If the slate had been sealed or waxed prior to the stain, you may be able to cover it by reapplying the wax and restoring the color that way. If not, you may have to replace the tile. At any rate, if you have any other slate, you should seal it, and use coasters under any cups or dishes placed on it.
