I just got a small bleach stain on my sweatshirt. Can I dye it back?

There are a few small spots of bleach on my black velour sweatshirt. Is there a way I could dye it back, or would anything like that ruin the fabric ?

You can buy Rit dye in the laundry detergent aisle at most grocery stores. Put some dye on it and let it completely dry, then do it again. You will probably always be able to see a bit of discoloration on the spot, but it won’t be as bad.

The bleach has already ruined the fabric; bleach eats away the fibers. I usually try a sharpie first. It washes out so you have to keep applying it.

no…once bleach has taken the color OUT of fabric it’s almost impossible to re-dye it…
You can try some fabric markers (from Michaels, Hobby Lobby, JoAnn), but black isn’t always the same color from fabric to fabric. (sometimes it’s purple, sometimes green, sometimes blue) depends on who dyes it. The marker may wash out too…
If I were you, I’d throw it away…
