I ve got salt stains on my boots & they are not coming off..any tips?

I ve used ‘soap" for boots & allowed it to sit for a bit….no luck.
any help?

    I always use white vinegar for salt stains. It neutralizes the salt. Mix one part vinegar and three parts water. Rub the solution over the stains with a cloth.

    not sure what kind of boots u have but im in the military and we used to get salt stains in the winter. I used rubbing alcohol and then polished over it.

    I used to wipe my boots off with just water and a little joy on a sponge then rinse. Then I’d polish them with shoe polish.
