Is it possible to slightly darken peices of stained glass in a lamp with a special kind stain or paint?

I ordered it online and the color is a little different than what was shown in the picture. It’s very pretty. But what I thought was red is actually orange. Surely there is something that would change the hue a little….doesn’t even have to be a permanent thing.

There is a WONDERFUL line of faux stained glass plaint. Go to a large craft store and ask.

They may not have the exact color you want, but it can be mixed, as any other paint, to match.

Anything else you use will be opaque.

Try to paint over it with a light coat of a water base craft paint.
You can find this at any craft store, walmarts, etc.
Since it is water base, it will wash off if necessary.

They make paint which you can apply to glass. Many craft stores have it. I’ve used a brand called Pebeo, which comes in two versions, one you just paint on, one you’re supposed to bake on. It’s good stuff. I have a glass I painted spots on, as an experiment, which I’ve washed by hand at least 30 times and the paint is just starting to flake off, and that wasn’t the baked on paint so it should be fine for your lamp.
