an upcapped pen was left in an overnight bag where my tan shorts just happened to be. the ink stain is round and the size of a quarter. ive tried spray and wash cloths and the new tide stain pen which only faded the stain a bit. HELP!!

    Saturate the area with rubbing alcohol. It will dry pretty quickly, then saturate with dish detergent and let soak in a little water overnight. Check the stain; if it is still there keep on doing this a few more times. This should help, but may take a few repeats.

    if it’s ballpoint pen, soak it with hairspray. The ink will start dissolve right before your eyes. then wash it and let it air dry (to keep the stain from setting). if it’s still there a little bit after the first time repeat. That should do it.

    PUT A PATCH ON THE STAINED AREA IF THE STAIN DOESN’T COME OUT!!

    OR DRAW PICTURE ON IT!
    IF NOT USE THE SHORT AS A RAG!

    Hairspray will only work as long as the garment hasn’t been washed before. I would try the rubbing alcohol method it sounds interesting at least. As a last resort you could always buy a package of dye.
