This is perfectly possible but not something I would recommend doing yourself as DIY products are notoriously poor quality and will not give a very good result.

You need to use professional colouring systems like the BRIT recolouring system. You need to use pigments, not dyes. Dyes soak into the leather whereas pigments are a surface coating and this is what you would need to recolour your leather.
If the process is followed to the letter then the results are very good.

You don’t want to try but if you want I bet that chlorine or bleach will stain it.

This is going to be a little strange, but yes it can be done. First, there are leather stains that you can buy. they aren’t cheap, but craft stores do sell them. Also, a leather store may sell them.

An alternative (and this is one I suggest you try – but on the underside of a cushion to see if it works), buy red koolaid. This stuff stains everything. mix it up, sponge it on the couch, and it will probably stain the couch. The issue is going to be that parts will accept the stain more than others, but if you are ok with that look, you should be good to go. By the way, wash the couch to remove oils such as body oils first. Use baby shampoo, rinse it well, and then do the koolaid thing

i don’t think it is possible because you would have to wash the color out of the couch which would ruin it anyways.
    sorry.

Call a local boot or shoe repair shop or even an auto detailing place. They will be able to help you find products that could work. I wouldn’t try the kool-aide though, if it gets wet, the dye will continue to transfer to other items.

I might try Neatsfoot Oil, which is used to keep leather soft and supple, and it darkens baseball gloves.
