Treat with a white vinegar and baking soda mix, and scrub with a brush

Oxiclean makes a real good stain remover.

I know that if you soak the clothes for about thirty min. with a little bit of dish detergent it will get oil stains out :) I am not sure other stains, but I have gotten some HUGE oil stains out. Just squirt in the soap as you start the load and leave the top open and after the clothes soak for a bit finish the cycle!

You might give "Scotch Guard" a try. Here is a link to their web site for information.

I use All with stain lifter and then allow to sit over night then wash the next day with the same detergeant. That stuff has saved white soccer clothes from grass and mud stains without any residual mess.

I have found that liquid tide poured directly on the stain and rubbed a little will take almost anything off.. it works way better than any shout or spray n wash.. try it..

I usually first wash the item in the warm water in the sink with regular laundry detergent. Second, I use a little bit of producted called stain be gone. Sometimes, I also use shout it out & oxiclean together. I have got a lot of stains blood, grease.

It depends on what stains they are!

Try to get them while still fresh is the key. get them wet and add those to the stain immediately, let them sit with the treaters and soap on for the day them throw in the wash.

If the stains are grease or oil based try good ole’ Dawn liquid dish soap.
    (works on lipstick stains too!)
