best stain removercleaning suppliesjanitorial suppliesremoving stains

Somehow I must have dropped some ice cream on my pant leg while driving home. Anyhow the chocolate left a mark, I sprayed some shout on it and forgot about it. Washed it, it didn’t come out, didn’t dry it though, tried washing again it’s lighter but still there, how can I get it out. They are my fav capris. Please help.

I have used a product called M30 (www.m30.com) for years to spot treat stains before washing, and the product has never failed me. Although I’ve never used it on chocolate, it does list it as a stain it can handle. With my experience of it getting rid of everything from motor oil, tar, grass stains, blood stains, and even ink, i would expect it to get out the chocolate too. The best part is its cheap($1 at my local dollar store).
    Hope this helps.

Now that you’ve already washed it I’m not sure there’s much you can do but keep trying Shout. But maybe something to keep in mind: cold water gets fresh chocolate out of clothes. So next time something unfortunate like this happens, try spot washing it with cold water before machine washing it.

    Good luck!

I was surprised to hear that hot water was recommended for chocolate, not cold — and here is a link to eHow.com for several other tips on removing chocolate. I especially like the milk one!! Don’t know if it will work on chocolate that has already been washed, but — hey — you’ve got nothing to lose!!
