Most auto leathers are finished leathers which means that the vaselins will be sitting on the surface anda good auto leather cleaner (not one off the shelf) will clean off the residues. If this does not work then a professional degreaser will eb required to degrease the area and then have the pigmetn/finish replaced.

If you have an absorbent type of leather and the vaseline has soaked into the leather leaving a stain then you will need to use a professional degreasing product to remove the stain from the leather (this may also remove colour so is best left to a qualified technician).

Do not use Mr magic erasers as they will not help and in some circumstances they will damage the finish on the leather – they should never be used to celan leather

    Try a Mr. Clean eraser.
