How do I remove cooking oil stain on the carpet. Even after cleaning it reappears – seems like it works its way up – and never seems to go away.

    Hi
There are two reasons for stains to come back.

    1. If the stain comes back when it dries normally one day then it is a PH problem and you can try using vinegar (one part vinegar to five parts water) spray it on the spot and wait 5 minutes then wipe it up. The stain should be gone.

2 If it comes back in one or two weeks then it is a sticky reside from the oil or shampoo it should be extracted using water hot water from a kettle and a wet vac (this will open up the dye ports on the carpet fibre releasing the stain. and remove the residue from the carpet) do not use any more soap on it. It may take two or three tries to remove it.

Please DO NOT put anything on the carpet that was not made for carpet

I don't know what products you have tried but Vanish Power Spray seems to work on most things I have thrown on my carpet.
