    normally on a plane,we would soak soda,vodka and lemon juice mixture for a few minutes then rinse of with water then repeat the process a few times and it should be gone…

    If it’s red wine, you can actually get the stain out with white wine if it is still wet. If it’s a dry red stain, then I don’t know.

    It’s best to treat immediately! Pour soap on it (laundry soap is ok, just a little to cover the stain), rub it a little, then pour boiling water on it, or very hot water is good too. Then scrub it a lot. Then I like to use Resolve (the carpet cleaning stuff) to get out any remainder. This usually works best on a fresh stain but it works on older stains too. Although they are much harder to remove in general! Good luck.
