What is an at home way to get rid of old, set-in, already dry orange soda and red Kool-Aid stains out of light beige carpet?
I’ve tried Dawn and using a carpet vaccuum.

OK, I had the same problem many years ago. Wet the stain with Dawn dish soap, then take a white rag or white towel and a hot iron, and put towel over the wet spot and run iron over the towel, this may take a while. Move the towel every time you do this,
Also make sure the iron doesn’t melt your carpet, and that the towel is heavy enough.
Also step on the stain with your foot as hard as you can. use your heal and toe of your foot to dig down deep and soak in any wetness onto the towel.
Then repeat with more water, soap, towel, iron, and move towel, and step on it.
    * The hot iron creates tons of heat just like a steam cleaner would do, its just not sucking up the stuff. That’s what your foot is for.
    Good Luck :)
