Port Wine Stain birthmark?

best stain removercleaning suppliesjanitorial suppliesremoving stains

I have a large, blotchy port wine stain birthmark that covers up my shin.
I am soon to be 18 now and have had almost 12 sessions of laser surgery to remove it. However they arent really showing major results…

Well i am wondering if anyone else has a large port wine stain, or knows someone that does… and how has it effected your/their life?

My birthmark has affected me A LOT! It gave me a lower self esteem, i wont wear shorts, i wont wear a skirt without tights or boots that cover my leg, i rarely swim in public, i NEVER get to go to the beach, i have been with guys before but have denied alot of them from going very far with me because i thought they would be grossed out by my birth mark.

i get depressed over it, although i know it could be worse, its what i have and its hard living with it.

so i want to hear your experiance with your birthmark!

Hi there. I’m sorry, but I don’t really have a birthmark, so I can’t really share a birthmark story with you, but I can offer you some advice and words of encouragement:

You should not worry about what other people think about your birth mark. To be honest, I don’t think very many people will care if you have a birthmark. I know plenty of people who have birthmarks, and they go about their lives as if they did not have one. I would suggest you do the same.

If you feel like wearing shorts, then wear shorts. Don’t listen to what anyone else has to say about it as it is a part of who you are and should not have any bearing on your conscience. It is the way God made you and you should be proud of it, not feel bad for yourself for having one.

You aren’t the only one who has them. Sure, they might attract attention, but you can easily learn how to deal with it. Ignorance is a powerful tool :D .

I hope this helps you :)

I don’t actually have a birthmark of my own, but as a child, I spent (and still do!) a lot of time with my cousin of the same age. I was always REALLY jealous of her, and one day, she showed me her birthmark.

It’s about the size of a pink eraser, and in between her stomach and right hip.
She went on and on about how special she was to have it, and I was SO jealous. I wanted a birthmark all my childhood :)

    That’s my birthmark story :)

    And as for YOUR birthmark,
You could use (Sorry for sounding like my grandmother) flesh toned tights, or even cover-up (though I doubt it will help :$)

    Um…that’s all I can really say…
And don’t be worried about other people…
Because what they think isn’t important,
    Its what YOU think. :)
