Small stain on large expensive red oak table….?

The oak table is 12 feet long and 4 feet wide. No chance this will be sanded and re-finished!! Anyone have any professional idea on removing a small red stain from a candle that sat on the table for a short time. The candle was not burning, it was a stain from the ‘red’ coloring in the wax…(There has to be some easy but clever tricks.?) I don’t mean covering it!.

Really need more info.as to type & condition of finish..
You may be lucky & the dye has not permeated the finish too deeply & gotten into the wood.
Always the chance that anything you do will be visible if it works or do nothing at all.
Problem is, you are dealing with a "dye" which had to be soluble in the candlewax & anything that will go after the color will most likely attack the finish as well.
Keep in mind that spot repairs are the most difficult to do "invisibly"& that it may be necessary to call in a specialty
    repair outfit.
Not that uncommon or too costly & repairs are generally done right in the home or office.
Keeping that in mind & you want to give it a shot ,gently rub the area with a soft cloth & a common spray wax to see if you get any color on the cloth & continue unless you see damage to the finish…cheap & least harmful.
Considering the size of the table , a spot repair could be the most economical .
Would always turn down "spot" repairs .
Sorry I could not be more encouraging.
    Best regards

I understand that the sand/finish option can be a cumbersome one, but I am afraid there is no easy fix to your problem. Oak, although a hard wood, is porous and will retain whatever has soaked into it to the depth that it traveled.

If the surface of the table is good you maybe able to scrub it out with hot water and cleaner, but that could result in a water stain.
Perhaps you should call in the professionals
