Some kind of grease or oil stain from washer or dryer?

best stain removercleaning suppliesjanitorial suppliesremoving stains

Lately when I have been doing laundry there are these little grease stains that appear on our shirts. Not all shirts and not all the time. I am 99% sure that there are not there when I put them into the washer. When I take the clothes out of the dryer and start folding them, I then see little spots/stains. I've tried using Oxyclean and soaking them to get the stain out as well as the Spray and Wash stick to no avail.

I am not sure if this is happening in the washer and/or dryer. What could be causing it? And any other suggestions on how to get a set stain like that out? I'm getting sick of throwing away perfectly good shirts but for stains dotting them!

Thanks!

I believe its your fabric softener. Try running the load again, treating the spots with Shout (or your stain treater of choice). Add 1 cup vinegar to the rinse cycle. Don't add fabric softener in the washer nor in the dryer. Run your laundry for the next week or so without fabric softener. In the future if you choose to use liquid fabric softener, dilute the recommended amount in a small bucket of water before adding. If you use sheets, only use 1 at a time. If you have soft water you may not need to use softener at all. Best of luck! :)

Run your washer with only water and Lestoil, it remove oil of all sorts. For the dryer run towels you don't use anymore and nothing else.

Use Shout Gel Stick and scrub it in with the attached brush.
I believe that it is the clothes softener dryer sheets that cause this. Tear one in half. It has worked for me.
