Spilt nail polish on wooden bureau?

best stain removercleaning suppliesjanitorial suppliesremoving stains

Ok so the wood is mahogany and it cost about 4000 dollars. :(
My mom doesn’t know because it’s a really big stain. I’m only 12 and what can I do? I’m sooooooo scared to tell her! Please help. Does mr. Clean magic eraser work? How can I get a product that works without letting my mom know?

Also, some of the colour came off. Do I have to throw it off or can i fix the colour to make it the same again? How?
Please, i’ms o scared. My mom s really strict.

I have worked at antique stores before. I would say to try Pledge on it. Spray the pledge on the area and let it sit. After the plege has sat on the area gently try to scratch the nail polish off. Then apply more pledge. The key is to be gentle and don’t rush. The Pledge will hopefully losen up the polish. You must use wood friendly cleaners or else the wood might be hurt. If after you get the polish off some of the finish is gone, try finding some stuff called "Old Engilsh". You can get different tones of that product to match up to the piece of furniture. Both Pledge and Old Engilish are sold in retail stores. There is also some stuff we used at the antique store called "Go Joe" but I don’t know if you could find it. You would put this on the area and rub it in but be careful not to rub it on the wood that has not been hurt if you can help it. We used Go Joe to get paint off of wood so it might help with the nail polish. In the end, it might not look great but maybe it will keep your mother from noticing. I don’t condone lying to parents but I understand you just don’t want to be blessed out over a stupid accident. I can understand how that feels and it is a pain in the you know where. Good luck with fixing this.
