To stain or paint brown?

I hate wood. I’ll admit it right now. I don’t care about seeing the wood grain through the stain. I also love unity, and want to have most of the pieces in our apartment to have a general flow.

So my question is, is it okay to paint wood and fake veneer pieces with a rich chocolate paint, or is it better to stain and hopefully come out with a consistent color?

Try stain the wood mahogany, looks really good and looks expensive. Good luck

Yes, you can paint them. If they have a slick surface, you may want to lightly sand or use a primer so the paint adheres better. Staining will show the wood grain and because of nature of stain, you will not get a consistent color.
