My husband’s cheesy garlic bread fell onto our leather couch… What can get that oil stain out of leather?

This will depend on the type of leather you have.

If the oil has soaked into the leather and left a dark stain then no cleaning product will work as you have an aniline style leather and the oil has been absorbed by the leather . this would need a professioanl degreaser to resolve the problem and this is best left to a professioanl to do as degreasing will also pull colour out which will have to be replaced.

If you have a pigment coated leather then the grease should be sitting on the surface and any good foam leather cleaner will clean it off.

The best oil lifter I’ve ever used is Dawn Liquid Detergent.
