What is the best cleaner to use to get old pet stains out of my carpet?

I’m going to use one of the carpet shampooers you can rent at the store.

Someone told me you can use Ammonia. She used it and said it got out the stains.

There’s also the pet stain shampoos they sell.

What would you recommend? When we moved to my new apartment, my dog had a hard time learning to pee on his puppy pads and there’s too many old stains to scrub them all down individually.

Nature’s Miracle will work in the shampoo machine and it has enzymes that digest the bacteria in pet waste and doesn’t just cover up the odor. And it is non-toxic and safe for children and pets. Using the machine will get all of the way down to the padding which is good because you won’t walk back up the odor after cleaning the carpet. You can find Nature’s Miracle at pet stores or big discounters in the pet aisle.

ammonia is what pets smell in urine & causes them to urinate over that scent..so do not use ammonia.

I prefer using baking soda and white vinegar.. both whiten and remove smells and cost less then other things and leave no residue that can be harmful.. natures cleaners.
