    Depends on the stain. Add a tablespoon of baking soda to half your usual amount of laundry detergent and instead of fabric softener add a cup of white vinegar to the rinse cycle. You will be very surprised at how clean your laundry is.

    I like a product called "Purple Stuff" it works for me great. It is very strong to be sure to weaken with water, normally what i use is 1part Purple Stuff to 6 parts water. Wear gloves, it will burn. just have to work with to find the right strength you need. I have 6+ strengths made up from laundry, kitchen, bathroom, and workshop. If you need to renew a hard paint brush, whether latex or oil<that you think it is worthless, before you throw it away try this – I used 1 part Purple Stuff to 2 or 3 parts water. Do not let it stand on its brissles , i lay mine in one of those plastic shoebox containers. good luck roxanne
