What is the best way to get a large coffee stain out of a white shirt?

It's not a dark stain. Should I soak it in something first? I need the stain to be GONE…COMPLETELY. I'm not sure that bleach works because sometimes it leaves yellow spots in my white clothing.

If it is an all white shirt, bleach will take care of it, just wash it alone and in the warmest temp. possible for that shirt. Cold water will set the stain. I have used Spray and Wash Duel cleaner or Goo Gone for bad stains as well.

ive always heard that oxy clean is really good, ive yet to use it, but maybe you could try it. If that doesnt work you could go to the dry cleaners and see what they can do.

Number one if your white clothes are getting yellow, it might be that they should not be wash in bleach. Read the label on the garments if it is not 100% cotton do not use bleach. Now for the coffee stain, Soak the spot in enzyme pre soak product or in powdered color safe bleach. Then and here's another exception to the don't use hot water rule, wash in the hottest water that's safe for the fabric.

stain stick works great, bleach should not leave yellow stains in your whites if your adding your detergent first then bleach and once all the water is in your whites.

I work in a restaurant and get coffee and all other kinds of stains
on my uniform all the time. I use Shout to get my stains out of
my shirts. You can also try putting laundry detergent directly on the
stain before you wash it. I'd also use a non chlorine bleach in the
    washer after pretreating.
