what is the best way to get out a NyQuil stain from a red and white carpet?

I spilled a little bit of NyQuil on one of my carpets not to long ago and I would like to know what I can use to get the stain out. And keep in mind that is a red and white carpet and the stain is mostly on the red part so I can’t use like bleach.

Personally I wouldn’t use oxyclean on a red area of a carpet. It has taken color out of my clothes when I used it in the laundry. However, try the baking soda tip. If that doesn’t work, then try some of the heavy duty laundry spray, like the shout or spray n wash for set in stains. Saturate the stain, place a towel or wash cloth over the area don’t pat it until its had a few hrs to work in. Then work it in and blot it up from the carpet. Follow this up with a good carpet cleaning foam. If this is too much then use a carpet steamer to remove it.

first, baking soda on a warm damp (not dripping wet) wash cloth rub ONE DIRECTION firmly, let dry then vacuum. Repeat 2 x.

If there is still a stain, moisten area GENTLY (not more than a couple pumps with a mister.) then sprinkle some oxy clean powder on. Leave for an hour or so, then vacuum up.

That is the process i use.. and it works for me! :)
