What is your favorite laundry stain fighter?

I have something on a brand new shirt (probably food related). I’m afraid to wash it. What’s your go-to stain remover? I do have Zout on hand, a waitress recommended it. What do you think?

My neighbor loves Zout and swears by it. I use Spray and Wash but it doesn’t seem to get all stains out. Best is to follow the directions of the product you use and if the stain does not come out in the wash then do not put the clothing in the dryer and rewash it again and again until it comes out clean.

I like the liquid "Shout" , you can spray it right on the stain and it seems to help.

I always add oxy clean to every load, but when I have a specific stain, I use spray and wash and oxy clean. I’ve found over the years that that combo can even get hydrolic fluid out of my husband’s uniform.

for grease stains, it’s the every day degreaser you find in the kitchen cleaing isle(not oven cleaner, just regular degreaser) for other stains, it’s oxiclean

    What colour is your shirt?

My first choice is always cover the stain with another stain from something that matches the colour of the shirt.

And if that fails, I go to the automotive department at my local hard ware store and get some brake parts cleaner. If it can wash brake dust residue off of aluminum, or grease of off machined metal, or for that matter, anything off of anything, it’ll handle my shirt just as well.

Hopefully you can tell I’m kidding. baking soda with club soda works just fine for me. Just so long as the stain is taken care of before it sets in the fabric.
