What professional will remove urine-stained carpet and prepare hard wood so it’s urine-proof?

I have carpet that is deeply stained with dog urine. Underneath, I assume there is hard wood. What type of expert locally do I turn to for help with removing the carpet, cleaning off the hard wood and sealing the hard wood so urine won’t get in it? I need to have it done inexpensively but professionally. Thank you.

wood floor refinisher….if the "dog" is large & the urine soaked into the wood, it’s a crap shoot as to whether they can help you or not. you may chose to re finish any way & cover the entire thing with a clear polyethylene coating – clear coat like the tables you see in some restaurants – things on the table with a clear finish so you cannot get to them. nothing is urine proof unless it is Truly waterproof. ceramic tile with well sealed grout would be the only other recommendation. possibly Porcelain tile or one of the synthetic granites.

Underneath is most likely plywood or chipboard flooring. All you can do IMO is wash the floor with bleach water and soap and scrub brush and let it dry out completely before installing hardwood floor. You can remove the carpet yourself or the wood floorlayer will remove it before they do the floor(however that does not give you much time to wash off the urine.
You want to urine proof it? Wrap the dogs parts in plastic(or maybe teach him not to do it.) Works for me.
