Help! How do I treat a blood stain? Is there any saving my sheets?

    If you treat immediately, usually soaking in cold water and treating with a stain remover will get it out. If it is an old stain you can try different stain removers but you probably won't get the stains to disappear.

    Try a product called "Zout" its great. Especially for kid spills

    Try hand washing the stains under cool running water with hand soap and a brush. Warm or hot water will set the stain so be careful of that. If this doesn't get rid of all of the stain try dotting the spots with clorox and then rinsing real well when the stains disappear. Throw the sheets in the washing machine and all the residue will disappear with the wash. If your sheets are colored make sure you use a color safe bleach. Good luck.

    The best product for removing blood is "Biz", a laundry enzyme based pre soak. Use it with cold water and let it soak- may take 2-3 DAYS and you may have to change/refresh the solution. Take the sheet area out and vigorusly rub the spot with a little of the powder before you put it back in to soak again. Hydrogen peroxode is good if the stain is still wet, but if the stain is dried out I find it leaves a little ring around the edge. This Biz will work if you are patient in letting the affected area soak.

    Use cold water and a bar of dove soap. Scrub it will come out. If the stain is old just soak in vinegar and then wash in the machine with vinegar and table salt added to the wash. It may take some work but it will come out. Remember only use cold water heat will set the stain.

    hydrogen peroxide. if its dried it will still work pour rub with tooth brush dab with paper towell repeat till gone

    rinse/soak in cold water OR use hydrogen peroxide OR soak (if a small area) in a little bit of milk. Then wash as you usually would.
