Bleach & Biz works but then the elastic in socks & underwear make us itch so what REALLY works GOOD without allergic reaction?

You may need to experiment to find what works best for you and your family. Try these:

..Hydrogen peroxide is an alternative to chlorine bleach (see bottle label)
    ..or
..Soak in hot water with juice of half a lemon
    ..or
..Soak in water with baking soda (see box instructions)
    ..or
..Add 5 to 6 caps of household ammonia to wash water

I think Ivory Snow is nonallergic. Give it a try.

I keep a bottle of rubbing alcohol and a bottle of peroxide next to my washer, and I found the most stains can be treated with them.

I use about 1/3 cup of white vinegar and 1/3 cup liquid laundry detergent (whatever you use to wash laundry) in a 32 oz. spray bottle filled rest of the way with water. I use this solution for a laundry stain remover. I also use it to clean my shower (works great on soap scum and hard water stains), sinks and toilet. Works great—
