    1. Use "Spot Shot" carpet cleaner.
    2. Just spray it on, wait 60 seconds, absorb with paper towel.
    3. Works every time.

    Number one: do I *want* to know how you got blood on the carpet??
    Number two: Oxi-Clean rocks. It pulled cherry Fanta out of my friend’s white carpet. It’ll probably do the same for blood.

    Has the blood dried or is it still fresh?
    If the blood is still wet, use a carpet extractor like rug doctor and plain cold water. You’ll have to go over the spot quite a few times before all the blood is diluted and extracted.
    If the blood has dried, try hydrogen peroxide and blot with a damp sponge. Worse comes to worse, there’s always clorox.

    No Doubt about it- Hydrogen Peroxide is the KING of blood removal in my eyes! My son was in a fight and he came home with his clothes mostly covered in blood so I rinsed them while it was fresh in cold water over & over till it looked like the sink was full of blood then I put straight H>P in a spray bottle layed the clothes out flat and sprayed every spot with the H>P and did this then rinse in cold water again and repeat this procedure over and over til gone! then wash like normal-since it is carpet shampoo like normal!

    Peroxcide! Really it works!!! If its a light carpet don’t worry about bleaching. Pour a little on it and watch it bubble and dab it with a dry paper towel. A dark carpet..it might lighten it a litte so don’t leave it bubble too long,after wash with wet rag.

    If it’s not your blood – DO NOT TOUCH IT! Call a carpet cleaner and let him get HIV, Hep B or God only knows what else. (Make sure you tell him it’s blood though, at least then if he doesn’t wear the right protection, it’s his own fault)

    If it is, you can try "Grandma’s Secret Spotter" you can get it at Jo-Ann fabrics.

    Ammonia (household strength),dish washing or fine fabric detergent, white terry towels, white vinegar, warm water, measuring cup, spoon.

    •Work on removing the stain as soon as you notice it. The longer the stain is left on the carpet the greater the chances are of the stain setting.
    •In every case remove all excess wet or dry material before attempting to clean. Blot wet materials using a white terry towel (check helpful hints for a detailed description of blotting). Vacuum excess dry materials or gently scrape up materials with a spoon.
    •Mix 2 tablespoon of HOUSEHOLD ammonia in one(1) cup of water.
    •Apply a small amount of the mixed solution to the white terry towel and blot on the stain. Continue until no further transfer of the stain is apparent. If the stain remains proceed to the next step.
    •Mix 1/2 tsp. of dish washing soap or fine fabric detergent into 1 (8 oz.)cup of warm water.
    •Apply a small amount, blot or tamp and repeat until the stain is removed. Be patient. Complete removal may require repeating the same step several times. Tamp down on the carpet, do not scrub as this may distort the texture of the pile.
    •Cover the stain with the towel and press down repeatedly to absorb the stain material and detergent.
    •Once the stain is completely removed, rinse the area with cold water; blot with a dry white terry towel until all moisture is removed. Repeat this process several times to remove cleaning solution residue. (Residue can attract soils).
    •If the spot or stain turns brownish when dry, mix 1 part white vinegar and two parts water. Apply a small amount and blot. Repeat only once.
    Precautions:
    Never use a stronger concentration than is recommended. Never use laundry detergent or automatic dish washing detergents because they may destroy or dye some fibers. Industrial strength ammonia should be mixed according to manufacture recommendations.

    Out! pet stain and odor remover. Wal-mart has it in a big 64oz container for $7.00. It works for pet and human urine,vomit,blood and feces. Pour it over stains and let set for 20min. then take towels and soak up the extra. Then take a dry clean towel and rub up the stains. Very easy
