What’s the best way to remove a set in stain from a white carpet?

One of my brothers spilled Black Cherry soda (which is bright pink) on the white carpet in our house, and said nothing about it. We’re moving today, so we’ve been clearing the place out so that it can go back on the market. I came across the stain, which has been there for about 5 weeks now, today, and I’ve been trying to get it out using Shout, hot water, and bleach, but it’s not even any lighter, is there any way to lift the stain? Thanks in advance ♥

409 carpet cleaner. it comes in a white can. it gets almost everything up! Sometimes my pup has REALLY bad accidents on the white carpet and the cleaner gets it right up! it smells good too! when you are done using 409 cleaner the carpet looks brand new! =) GOOD LUCK!

Alcohol on a white cotton towel.. Cherry may not come out without a professional. My mom bleached hers on time, I’d be careful doin that though.

have you tried Oxyclean®, I think it’s probably a stretch, but it may work. go to Walgreens and buy a small container, mix in into a solution of water and a couple of scoops of Oxy. use a spray or squirt bottle and saturate the area.

let it sit a while then tamp dry with a dry clean towel.

I would agree with turtle, if the OXY don’t cut it call a Pro in with a steam cleaner.

I would call a professional rather than risk ruining the carpet. If you insist on trying to remove the stain yourself try a paste of oxyclean although I don’t know how to effectively get the oxyclean off of the carpet.

I use hydrogen peroxide with a few drops of liquid dish washing soap. Saturate the stain, let it sit for an hour and then rinse with a clean damp cloth. Every stain I’ve treated disappears. I have also heard doing the same thing with club soda works, but haven’t personally tried it. One of these will do it for you. Good luck!
