Why do some loads of laundry come out with yellow/orange stains?

Ok. This is the second time it’s happened in 2 weeks.
The first time, these yellow/tan/orange stains occured on a third of the clothes I washed. It’s a complete mystery.
It’s NOT sweat, or anything like that. It’s something happening in the washer, which is a year old, by the way, and I’ve not switched detergents, or anything, either.

So I did some more laundry this week, did a few loads, and they turned out fine, then the third load, BOOM! The stains were back!!! I thought it was from new hand towels I bought at Walmart, but I didn’t wash any of them this time, and the stains are back! ???????
I can NOT figure it out, or find a common item I washed with the first stained load.
It’s driving me crazy, and what’s worse, costing me real money, now.

I went out last week and bought a bunch of laundry chemicals, stain remover, color remover, color safe bleach, etc….
It did NOT work. I never dried the stained items, so the stains are not set yet…..HELP!!!!

    If you are pouring the detergent on top of your clothes before the water fills this could be the problem. Let the water fill and start to agitate before adding any detergents.:)

    Relax it sounds like your washer has dirt. Here what do first wipe down the inside the wash with lyos to clean germs then your going to get bottle of white vingar it going to smell bit because pour vinegar that okay because going to kill al the germs. Let it sit in the hot water for 1 hour scrumb down with brisle brush or sponge then let the wash do the cycle with no clothes it should be just fine after words. It just sounds like it rust.

    You might have some rust in your machine or in your water lines. Rust can very easily stain clothes and you can’t do a whole lot to get them out. Maybe have a plumber come and check to see if your lines are rusty.

    Is the washer new or new to you? If its new to you It could have rust or lime deposits in the tub (back behind the perforated basket) where we cannot see. In either case you could a) run an empty load with electric dishwasher soap, or b) run an empty load with CLR ( a lime and rust cleaner) You may live in an area where lime is a problem in water (lime can make orange stains in baths, showers, dishwashers and clothes washers).I have heard of some soccer moms washing uniforms in the electric dishwasher soap to remove stains but be cautious!!!

    It sounds like there is rust in your washing machine. The easiest way to fix this is to run a load of wash without any laundry in it. Put a cup or two of clear vinegar in the wash with hot water running. The hot water and vinegar’s natural cleaning abilities will clean that rust out. Then, run it once with just hot water. This should fixyour issue. If this doesn’t, check out what minerals are put in your local water supply. Your pipes could be rusting out as well… which could be why you’re getting rust in your laundry.

    This sounds like a water problem to me this should help your problem

    Get the yellow out of clothing

    To restore yellowed clothing, let the garments soak overnight in a solution of 12 parts warm water to 1 part vinegar. Wash them the following morning.

    You know, it could be a water issue, but I had a similar problem about a year or so ago when I was using Proactiv. There’s benzoyl peroxide in it (which is virtually the same chemical as bleach) and it bleached out spots on some of my towels and pillowcases, and even on some clothing if I wasn’t careful.

    If you are using a product which does contain a level of peroxide in it, that may be it. You may need to rinse your face off a little more stringently and only use white towels when you wash your face.
