using too much detergent, or you are pouring it directly on your clothes, or the washer is overloaded. Pour it in the bottom of the washer and let it fill with water then add your clothes. This works great for powder detergent too. If the water suds, that doesn’t mean more clean, that means you are using too much detergent, and it will not all come out of the clothes. You can tell if you are using too much by putting the laundry through the wash without using soap. if the water suds its excess soap from previous washes. It is actually bad for clothes and the washer to use too much detergent. I read an article online about this and today detergent is much more concentrated and most people are using 10x as much detergent for one load than they should be.

Companies are making their detergents more concentrated so that they don’t use as much packaging, so there’s a bit of a downside to that for the consumer. What I find helps these situations is after putting your detergent into your machine, fill a clean 1 gal ice cream pail with hot water and toss it in before you start filling the machine with clothes. Then launder as usual.

maybe you’re using too much detergent. Also, don’t pour the detergent directly on your clothes- wait until there’s enough water in the washer, even dilute the soap before adding it to your wash- that’s all I can think of

    too much

Overloading the machine with too many clothes, adding too much detergent.

I’m not sure how you can get the stains out of your clothes that are already stained. However to prevent this from happening again I recommend buying laundry detergent without any dyes.

Sounds like you’re using too much detergent. Try using only half a cup of detergent, and even that may be too much. Before you put the clothes into the machine, add detergent as it fills up to make sure it fully dissolves. Use the extra rinse setting if your machine has one.

Do not add your laundry until the water has finished filling. When you add the soap it will disperse through the water and not clot on your clothes. Let teh water agitate and then add your clothing.

Also, do not use dryer sheets because they leave a residue on the wall of the dryer which will leave blotches on your clothing.

Instead of dryer sheets throw a cup of vinegar into teh final rinse cycle of teh laundry. Wipe the walls of your dryer with vinegar to remove teh residue.
