Will Urine-Gone work on set-in dog urine stains that I’ve already attempted to clean with another product?

Since he got neutered he started having accidents inside. It’s an apartment and I really need these stains gone! Nothing I’ve tried so far has been working. Someone mentioned Urine-Gone but I don’t want to waste my money if it’s not effective.

Two of the best things I have found for removing urine stains and odors is a product called Awesome which the dollar store carries. The other is to immediately blot the excess urine out of the carpet as much as possible. Then saturate the area with a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water. Let sit about 30 minutes and then blot up as much of it as you can. Then sprinkle some baking soda on the area and use a mixture of hydrogen peroxide and dish washing detergent to pour over the area. Scrub the mixture as deep down into the stained area as you can then allow to dry completely. A fan directed on it speeds up this process. Once the area is dry, vacuum well to remove the baking soda mixture. If you have trouble getting the mixture out of the carpet, dampen a scrub brush and brush out the remaining mixture. I have found this to be the best method for removing both the stain and odor which will prevent the pet from returning to the same area over and over. I found it on a web site and I have it written down at home but unfortunately am not there to get it for you. I just did a search on pet urine stain removal. There are many other methods listed to so you can chose which works best for you. I have tried many of the store bought urine stain and odor removers and none of them compare, if they even work at all! Hope this information was as helpful for you as it was for me.

I use Resolve high traffic foam to clean the area & then I use a fabric refresher on top of that…this is only when I’m training a puppy & they have an accident & it seems to work great!

Urine-Gone didn’t work for me. I use Zout. You can find it in the laundry detergent isle at the supermarket.

Spray the spot thoroughly with Zout, scrub the area with a scrub brush, let it set for about 30 minutes then clean the area with a steam vac.
