Sometimes these products help. Let me tell you what does help and I am speaking from experience, I know this and have used it all the time. They are a little expensive $30 to $40 in your average grocery store. But if you go to Wal-Mart I bet they are $20. Sam’s Wholesale (Wal-mart sister) has them two packages for $40 and that is where I get mine and I have tried everything.

I had my teeth bleached about 10 years ago and they looked and still do look GREAT and very white. After bleaching them at the dentist and I went in for a followup about 3 or 4 years ago I quized my doctor that bleached them about up-keep on them. At this point they still looked great and white but I was worried about tea and coffee stains after the fact.

The doctor told me to try Crest Whitestrips. At this point I had already tried all the other crap and was not happy. I wanted only to keep them white after I have them bleached. Let me say this, after I did it the first time I knew I had found my solution. One box of these can last you for a year. Remember Sams sells two boxs of them for around $40. So find a friend that will go in with you and take the other box or keep them both for yourself. I love these things and no I DO NOT work for Crest.

The box says to keep them on for only thirty minuets and I suggest you go by that because you will see the difference in your teeth the first night. Brush your teeth then apply the strips and brush them after the strips have been on for 30 minutes. I am not sure what the directions on the box say but I suggest you do it a few nights in a row until you get your teeth where you want them and then only do it once every other week or once a month for upkeep.

    Trust me on this one.

Just do it regularly. Diet and the acids in your body are what really discolor your teeth.

Try Total w/ whitener..the trick is to be consistant.

Sounds like a good way to prevent coffee stains! It might also be a good idea to use Crest Whitestrips every 6 months or so!

You could go to the dentist. I think there is an older toothpaste, I can’t think of the name but it’s specifically for coffee drinkers. They also have those overnight teethwhitening strips that are supposed to work well.
Maybe you should drink your coffee with a straw. ?

Listerine toothpaste always seemed to whiten my teeth a little better than the others too.

Whitening your teeth is not good for you. All it does is erode your enamel. Ask your dentist what you should do about coffee stains. They should have special toothpastes that can take the stains away (ones that you can get at the grocery store even). Don’t just use a plain old whitener before you ask a dentist.

I tries a whitening product and it put blisters in my mouth and amde my whole mouth bleed but I get compliments on how white my teeth are all teh time… guess it was worth it.

  12. blah says:

yeah. use that new one they came up with with the lady drinking black coffee.

  13. CUSTODIAN JOE says:

No…..its not strong enough……usually only a dental application will do the trick…..

  14. ellehda says:

    NO.
You are only making it more penetrable by stains .
You will get stain more easily.

I don’t think, toothpaste can whiten your teeth properly.
Commercial tooth whiteners use hydrogen peroxide and
are expensive and inconvenient. A cheap and natural
tooth whitening home remedy uses few strawberries
but certain precautions have to be taken.
