I am going to assume that this stain has now dried. However, if this happens again in the future, poor a mountain of salt (about 1 inch high) on top of the stain and let it set for 24 hours. After that vacuum the salt up. The salt will pull the stain out of the carpet and the salt will hold the stain. Good luck!

I have used Resolve carpet cleaner, the kind that comes in a spray can and foams up. It works really well.

    1. Blot as much of wine out using old towel.

    2. Use dilute solution of oxygen bleach to remove stain.
Note: Test oxygen soln in an inconspicuous area first (to check for color fastness).

    Good luck!!

We have a lot of success with a product called ‘Wine Away’. It comes in a spray bottle, and different sizes. It is sold at stores that sell wine. If you like red wine, it is a good product to have.

It is easy to use. You spray it on and let it dry. The stain will disappear. I have used it on clothing, furniture, carpet, and dried wine stains. On some bad stains, I had to do a second application. The stuff works.
